Snow Angels — Painting Snow, Light, and Scale

In this tutorial, I paint Snow Angels from start to finish, focusing on how to approach snowy landscapes and lighting using my characters Jean Claude and Marie.

I talk through my decisions as I work, explaining how I handle snow color, surface variation, footprints, and cast shadows, as well as how scale and composition help sell the environment and the characters’ relationship within it.

This is a full, uninterrupted painting process with voice-over, including adjustments and course corrections along the way.
